I would like to invite students that took Computer Graphics I back to the second year of Computer Graphics Technology. In Computer Graphics 2, you will get to enter many contest giving you the opportunity to receive scholarships and/or gift prizes. You will also get to work on many project that will be published giving you real hands-on experience. Students that take both Computer Graphics classes also have the opportunity to earn college credit.

2011/2012 Scholastic Art Award Winners

Congratulations to the following 2011/2012 Scholastic Art Award Winners! Gold Key - Brennan Kennedy and Heather Miller. Silver Key - Heather Miller and Janine Musnit. Honorable Mention - Sherlee Chandler, Kapriatta Jenkins, Brennan Kennedy, Heather Miller, Brittney Mitchell and Alexia Smith. The reception and awards ceremony will be held on April 15, 2012. The reception will be held at the Mississippi Museum of Art at 12:30 p.m. and the awards ceremony will be held at the Jackson Convention Complex at 2:00 p.m.

MS World Trade Center Poster Contest


Congratulations to Computer Graphics 1 / Digital Media Technology student designers; Janine Musnit and Sherlee Chandler for placing in the Mississippi World Trade Center Poster Contest. Janine Musnit won 3rd Place and $50. Sherlee Chandler received an honorable mention.

2011 Mississippi Counseling Association Poster Contest


Congratulations to Computer Graphics Technology students, Sherlee Chandler and Heather Miller, for their wins in the Mississippi Counseling Association Poster Contest. Sherlee Chandler won 1st place and Heather Miller won 2nd place for the entire state. Sherlee's poster will go on to compete in the national competition.

Peyton Tubb won 2nd place in the 2010 competition and Jeremy Gray won 1st place in the 2009 competition.

Doodle 4 Google State Finalist

Computer Graphics student designer, Sean Butts was selected as one of the two Mississippi State Finalists for 10-12 grade! There were 400 doodle designs out of more than 107,000 entries from across the country chosen. In each state, 2 doodle designs were selected from each grade level. His design is displayed on www.google.com/doodle4google/winners_state.html#4 also. Congratulations Sean B.!

The Art Institutes Life is Better with Art In It Poster Design Competition 2011 Winner

Congratulations to Computer Graphic student designer, Jeremy Gray! Jeremy is a first place finalist in The Art Institutes Life is Better with Art In It Poster Design Competition 2011. He has earned a tuition scholarship valued at $3,000 to attend The Art Institutes school of his choice. Congratulations Jeremy!

MBA State Marching Band Competition program
Congratulations to Computer Graphics Student Designer, Peyton Tubb!  His design was selected as the cover of the MBA State Marching Band Competition program.  The competition was held Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 on the Arrow Field.
